Chapter 9

“I actually kinda like this thing.” she said playing with it with her finger.

“Maybe I’ll keep it, then.” I said studying her face.

“Only if you like it, your body your choice.”

“I’m telling you, I like it. Makes me look like a bad boy.” she laughed at me.

“Now all you need is a leather jacket.”

“Hold that thought.” I got up and went in my closet, I pulled out my favorite leather jacket, a red bandana in my back right pocket, messed up my hair, and walked into the living room with a lean.

“Oh my.” she said looking me up and down a few times.  I popped my collar and she walked over to me.

“Am I a good bad boy?” I asked quietly.

“Perfect.” she grabbed my jacket collar and said, “my bad boy.” she whispered and kissed me. I took over with the kiss and she loved it. She had more energy than usual with this kiss. I pulled away.

“Do I turn you on like this?” I asked so I knew for future references.

“You have no idea.” she said wrapping her arms around my neck. She looked at my hair and ran her hands through it.

“Soft.” she whispered. She looked down and saw I was starring at her. She grabbed my hand and looked back and forth between me and the bedroom, I nodded smiling. She started leading me to the bedroom when someone knocked on my door.

“Ugh!” I groaned.

“Who could that be?” she asked crossing her arms.

“I’ll get rid of them.” I gave her a quick kiss and ran to the door.

“Yeah?” I asked flinging my door open, it was my dad.

“So, you ARE back in town, when were you going to tell me Bruno?”

“…tomorrow.” he nodded and walked in. he looked at Sydney.

“Didn’t know you had company.”

“You didn’t call.” I said back. He turned around fast.

“I’m your father, I don’t need to call.”

“What if I wasn’t home, how did you even know I was back?”

“I just saw Phil.” I let out a sigh.

“How do your parents feel about this?” he asked Sydney.

“I haven’t told them yet. I’m going down- we’re going down next week to tell my mom.”

“What about your dad.”

“He…I don’t um…” she scratched her head, “um…he’s not…in the picture.” it was hard for her to say, like torture.

“and wait, WE’RE, who are the other people or person?” he asked, she looked at me confused. “Lemme guess, you!” he turned to me. He shook his head and went in the kitchen.

“What the hell is going on?” Sydney ran over to me and whispered.

“I’ve never seen him like this.” I whispered back. My dad came out the kitchen with a glass of alcohol.

“So how will your mom feel about this?” he asked her.

“She’s gonna be ecstatic. She knows I’ve wanted this my whole life, and supports me no matter what I want to do.”

“Why can’t you support me like you used to?” I asked him.

“Because you’re still young Peter!” Peter, ouch. “You don’t know how things can be in the music industry. I bet you didn’t even have an attorney read over the contract did you?” I was silent. “No.” he shook his head and drank from his cup. He walked over to me. “Son, you have to think. Not with your heart,” he hit my chest and I flinched, “but with your head.” he looked at me weird. “What was that?” he asked.

“What was what?” he hit my chest again in the same area.

“What is under your shirt?” he asked locking his jaw. I tried not to look at him. “Lift.” I let out a deep breath and lifted my shirt.

“A NIPPLE RING?!” he yelled. He tugged on it. “Take it out.”

“What? No.”

“Take it out before I rip it out, Peter!” he tugged hard.

“Ow, stop!” I said getting out of his grip, I stood next to Sydney.

“What about you, goin home with any surprise piercing?” he asked her.

“Dad! That’s her business.”

“No, sir. My family knows about all my piercing, just in my ears and nose.” she said calmly.

“Oh come on there has to be something they don’t know about.” she looked at me.

“You don’t have to answer him.” I told her.

“Just one thing.” he smiled.

“Of course.” he said smiling. “Which would be?” she turned around and showed him her tattoo.

“A tattoo! That’s more permanent than a piercing. How are they going to react?”

“Well everyone in my family has tattoos. My…dad…was gonna take me, but he never did…they’re gonna love it.” she smiled.

“You just have the perfect little family don’t you?” he asked sloppy.

“Dad! That’s enough why are you treating her like this?! She has done NOTHING to you!”

“SHES TAKING YOU AWAY!” he yelled and dropped his glass, he stumbled out my door. She ran over and picked up the glass and put it in my kitchen, she came back with a sponge and wiped the floor. I sat on the couch.

“I’ll see you tomorrow, Bruno.” she said quietly walking to the door.

“Wait.” I stood up. “Could you stay? …Please? I really don’t wanna be alone right now, I just wanna be with you.” I said hoping she would stay.

“Yeah, of course.” she walked over and sat on the couch with me.

“I’m really sorry about that. He’s never been that mad at me before. I’m sorry he dragged you into this.”

“It’s okay.” she paused. “You don’t think I’m taking you away, do you?”

“What, no. Of cou-”

“Because that’s the last thing I wanna do is take you away from your family, your father.”

“Baby, you’re not!” I grabbed her hands, “This has always been my dream, and they know that. I’ve been performing since I was little and they know this is what I’m gonna do. You CAN’T blame what just happened on you.” I looked deep in her eyes.

“I just, I feel bad now.”

“That was his goal. He wants me to stay, he knows I’ll go where you go, if you stay I would stay.” she looked at me.

“You would stay here, if I didn’t go?”

“Of course I would.

“But baby this is your dream.” she shook her head. “I…you can’t base your life off of me, we don’t know where our relationship could be next month if there is-”

“YOU are my life. The most important thing to me. I would never chose my career over you.”

“That’s sweet, but I want you to succeed.”

“But wait arent you coming?”

“Yeah.”

“Then why are we getting into this. I’m gonna have everything I’ve always wanted, my dream career, and the most amazing, gorgeous girl in the world by my side.”

“Through the thick and thin.” she smiled.

“Sydney…I…” I took a deep breath trying to find the courage. “I…lo-” her phone started ringing.

“I’m so sorry.” she said and grabbed her phone. “Hello?” there was a pause, “Now’s not really the best time.” she looked at me the whole time she talked. “Honey I’m sorry, I’m not home thought you know that.” pause. “You’re in Brooklyn. Downstairs you say. I…I…alright.” she hung up. We looked at each other. I heard someone knocking on her door across the hall.

“That’s her.” she said quietly. “She just lost her brother.”

“It’s okay go ahead.”

“I feel bad for leaving you.”

“It’s okay, I’ll go for a run.”

“You sure?”

“Yes. I have something to say too, but it’ll have to wait.

"Again, I'm so sorry." I shook my head. She gave me a kiss and walked to the door leaving. I stood there and watched the love of my life walk away.

Chapter 10

I changed into loose shorts and a wife beater. I laced up my tennis shoes and walked out of my door. I starred at her door for a minute then jogged down the steps and ran outside. I ran to the park and saw the spot where she inspired me to write Just the Way You Are. I smiled and kept running. I ran down the street where she described everything to me. I started laughing a little. I ran down to the train stop and remembered Somewhere in Brooklyn
“I love her.” I ran to the flower cart and bought her every green flower there was. I smiled and ran up the steps to her apartment. I knocked on the door.
“Hey.” she smiled when she opened the door. I kissed her. She was caught off guard but didn’t stop me. This kiss is all love.
“I love you Sydney. I ask you to please be my girlfriend and the love of my life. I can’t go a day without you or a second without thinking about you. I love you.” I looked deep in her eyes.
“I love you Bruno! Yes, yes I will be your girlfriend.” she smiled and kissed me again. I dipped her, still kissing her. I hugged her while she was still leaning backwards and she giggled. I straightened us out and handed her the flowers.
“They’re all green.” she smiled smelling them. She invited me in.
“Oh, I uh…I didn’t mean to interrupt anything.” I said when I saw a girl crying on the couch.
“Rosa this is my boyfriend Bruno.” it sounds amazing hearing her call me her boyfriend.
“Hi.” I said to her. She sniffed and smiled.
“I think I left something in your room.” I said and winked at Sydney. She followed me to her room. I pushed her on the bed and kissed her. My hands roamed her body.
“Bruno stop, I have company.”
“She won’t even know.” I kissed her neck and her eyes rolled back in her head. I took off her shirt and kissed down her stomach.
“Wait.” I said stopping.
“What’s wrong?”
“I just remembered I wanted a do over for our first time.”
“Seriously?” she said out of breath. She pushed me off of her and put her shirt back on. “This is the second time today we’ve had to stop.” she said upset.
“I’m sorry honey, I just want it to be special.”
“Yeah, I know.” she said dissapointed.
“I love you.” I wrapped my arms around her waist and looked in her eyes.
“I love you too.” she said sadly looking at me.
“Oh come on, you make me feel so bad! I want to satisfy your every need and pleasure you in every way imaginable, but you have to be patient.”
“Just hearing you say that makes me one jump on you right now. You have no idea how badly I wish I was intertwined with you in between those sheets.” she said seductively with her body up against me. I had to take a deep breath and close my eyes.
“Right now I cant remember why I stopped it from happening.”
“Because you’re a bad boy. Always leaving girls waiting.” she said seductively. “C’mon make me feel good. I need to feel you.” she whispered in my ear while she massaged her scalp.
“Alrit- No!” I backed away and shook my head. “I know what you’re trying to do. You seductress!” she giggled.
“Guilty as charged.” she said walking closer.
“I’m serious girl! Waiting for it will  make it more pleasurable for you.” I smiled. “Now if you’ll excuse me I need a cold shower.”
“I have a shower here.”
“And I have one.” I tried to walk away.
“It doesn’t feel good to be rejected.” she gave me puppy dog eyes.
“That’s not fair.” I laughed. She pushed me on the bed.
“Don’t leave.” she closed the bedroom door, I heard muffles and the a door closed, she walked back in.

SYDNEY P.O.V

I walked back in and looked him up and down.
“Rosa had to leave, she got a call from her mom.”
“Riiiiightt.” he smiled.
“So I need a shower, you need a shower. I think we should save the world and conserve water.” I smiled. He laughed shaking his head. “I promise nothing will happen, just a shower.” I smiled.
“Just a shower?” he asked raising an eyebrow.
“Just a shower.” I nodded.
“Alright.” he smiled. I smiled and went in the bathroom. I turned on the water and took off my clothes getting in. I walked backwards into the water getting my hair and whole body wet, he snuck in the shower without me knowing.
“Make that a cold shower.” he said eyeing my body. I smiled and grabbed the shampoo. I reached up in his hair and massaged his scalp.
“Ohhh yeahh..” he moaned.
“Feels good?” I asked.
“amazing.” he said closing his eyes. I washed the curls on his head, he rinsed and grabbed the body wash,
“Turn around.” he said. I turned and he washed my back while giving me a massage. He moved down my back and massaged my butt. “Turn.” he said. He got more soap and washed my neck, arms, chest, breasts, stomach and legs. It felt so good. We stepped in the water at the same time and he rubbed my body down rinsing off the soap. I smiled at him.
“Do I make you feel good baby?” he asked watching me.
“Incredible.” I smiled. He smiled satisfied and washed his body. I washed my hair. When he rinsed off and I rinsed out my hair we stood under the water just holding each other.
“I could stay like this forever.”  he said kissing my forehead.
“Me too.” he squeezed his grip on me, he rocked us back and forth and hummed a little tune.
“I hate to break this up, but at this point I don’t think we’re saving water.” I said.
“But it feels so right, I just don’t wanna let you go.” he said. I smiled and turned off the water. We dried off I put on shorts and a tank top, he put on some boxer briefs and laid in my bed. I opened my window and the blinds so we could get a good breeze. I sat in bed next to him.
“Do you have paper and a pencil?” he asked.
“Of course.” I reached in the table next to my bed and handed him a notebook and a pencil. He flipped through my notebook and stopped when something caught his eye.
“What’s this?” he asked.
“Huh?” I looked over and quickly grabbed my notebook from him.
“Personal.” I said.
“Was that me?” he asked.
“Personal.” I repeated.
“Fine, I’ll respect that.”
“Promise?”
“I promise.” I handed him the notebook back and he went straight to the back, he started writing.
“What are you writing?” I asked.
“Personal.” he mocked me. I pushed him sideways.
“A song.”
“About?”
“What our first time should be like.”
“Really? Can I look?”
“When it’s finished.” he smiled.
