it was all so terrifying. all alone, yet, it seemed like everyone's eyes followed her, like they wanted to come with her, but an invisible barrier was built between her and the only friends she had left in the world. all she could do was keep walking...

everyone was now against he. the truth was out; not the real truth, but the kind of truth that was an ugly lie underneath...circumstantial truth. things had changed since then....Rae had changed. she was brought to her knees at the thought of losing him, but she knew she had no time for a pity party, only action...

"you can do this...." she thought to herself. she had gotten herself into this mess, she'd have to get herself out, either face her fears, or lose the only man that ever meant anything...and everything....to her...

there he was. right in the middle of the one place he tried to avoid; but he couldn't stay away from her. from day one it had been this way, always coming back and wanting more. he was disgusted with himself, but that feeling was stifled by his extreme love for her...

"but she hurt me so bad" he thought to himself. no. that didn't matter here. this was now ground zero...for them both. this was a do or die moment. he wanted to believe that this was happening, that things would be right, but there was always that doubt. never had a woman made him feel so vulnerable...broken him down so bad....made him feel so low. but, there was the fact that he had never felt...so strong; not now, of course, when he had lost so much of his dignity and respect for himself, but while he was with her....he felt like he could rule the world...

his heart was racing as he stepped closer and closer to the stage...he was drawn like a moth to the flame. he got the expected occasional sideways glance, but not anywhere near the attention that Rae was getting that night....

"All eyes on me..." she thought.

"All eyes on you..." he mouthed.

The stage lights came up, and the impromptu performance of her life began...
